Bilateral and Multilateral Co-operation
Antigua and Barbuda is a member of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, the Association of Caribbean States, Caribbean Community, Non-Aligned Movement, Organization of American States, Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States, United Nations and World Trade Organization. Caribbean regionalism, as is the case in most of these island nations, dominates the country’s multilateral relationships. One of the country’s primary bilateral relationships is with Canada, and is due to the significant Caribbean diaspora in Canada, long-standing regional commercial links between the two nations, and a long history of Canadian support for the region.
