Many of Bangladesh’s international NGOs have been very active since the 1970s thus encouraging a primitive welfare state. Organisations such as Concern, Oxfam, Save the Children and Christian Aid help the population with various areas of life including poverty reduction, education, natural disasters and welfare. Oxfam, in particular, campaigns against various issues which dominate Bangladesh’s day-to-day existence.
