Education NGOs and CSOs in Bangladesh

Only a few countries in the world have an extensive and positive civil society involvement in the education sector that is comparable to Bangladesh. Bangladesh has more NGO schools than government schools – continuing the trend of NGOs providing a pseudo-welfare state for the citizens of the country. Of the 400 NGO participants in the sector, notable NGO participants include the Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), the Centre for Mass Education in Science, and the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) – the most involved and most influential.
