Accommodation in Cameroon

Visitors to Cameroon have several lodging options to choose from, with available accommodation ranging from hotels of high international standard to various cheaper accommodation options like guesthouses, locally referred to as auberges and country lodges, and campsites, locally referred to as campements. Prices in Douala and Yaoundé are more expensive than other areas. The primary hotels are located in Bamenda, Douala, Garoua, Maroua and Yaoundé. Another popular accommodation option, located in the Waza and Bénoué national parks is the roundhouses, locally referred to as boukarous, whilst the Boubandjidah National Park offer the adventurous option of camping along the Mayo Lidi River Bank.
