Find Trade Union expertise in Canada

Trade unions in Canada represent the interests of around 3 million workers involved in many different occupations. The umbrella organisation for all the unions and labour organisations in Canada is called the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC). Aside from regional labour councils and organisations, the largest trade unions within the CLC are The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW).

The UFCW is Canada’s largest private-sector union, representing 250,000 workers. It is committed to fair access and equal treatment in the workplace. CUPE represents workers in the public sector and has 600,000 members.
