Education NGOs and CSOs in Canada

There are two leading trade unions for teachers and university teachers in Canada, namely the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF) and the National Union of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (NUCAUT). Canada has hundreds of charities across many facets of the education sector including literacy, minority education, First Nations education, research and policy, social services and special needs. The First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC), the Canadian Helen Keller Centre, the Society for Quality Education, and the Further Education Society are amongst notable examples.
