Education NGOs and CSOs in Cyprus

Several non-governmental and civil society organisations can be found working in education in Cyprus. These range from local, community-based groups to large international organisations. Examples include the Cyprus Educational Sciences Association who aim to create a community among scientists that fosters cooperation and unity in order to help develop the educational science profession; the Cyprus Fulbright Commission which promotes and funds educational exchanges, offering scholarships, programmes and grants to both Cypriot and American students; and the Cyprus Dyslexia Association which strives to help those of all ages with dyslexia to develop their educational capabilities, and to educate the wider population and authorities about the difficulties faced by those with dyslexia.
