Education supplies such as textbooks, educational software and stationary are supplied by a mixture of domestic and foreign firms. Power Publishing and Parga Publications publish many of the Ministry of Education’s approved titles. An example of an overseas firm supplying educational materials is Oxford-based Immersive Education who won a contract to supply their Kar2ouche software to every primary school in Cyprus. The Ministry of Education and Culture is also a major stakeholder in providing supplies to schools throughout the Republic. In collaboration with other offices throughout the country’s education system, the Ministry arranges contracts for all items needed in schools including textbooks, science materials, sports equipment and educational media.
