Find Construction and Engineering expertise in Fiji

Fiji’s construction industry flourished throughout the period between 2000-2006, spearheaded by projects for the tourism industry. However, in light of the political instability experienced in 2006, private sector foreign investment was subdued and the sector declined by 20% in 2007. There are signs for encouragement in the industry, as it grew by 3.5% in 2010 and $200 million of work put in place was registered in the same year. Fiji’s construction industry amounted to about 3% of GDP in 2010.

Representative bodies in the sector include the Fiji Association of Architects, the Fiji Master Builders Association and the Fiji Institution of Engineers.
