Education NGOs and CSOs in Fiji

There are many NGOs working for educational development in Fiji, examples of these include: the National Council of Women in Fiji, the Civil Society Forum on Education and the Social Leadership Training Institute. Teachers in Fiji are represented by the Fijian Teachers Association (FTA), which was established in 1934 and represent around 4,300 professionals. This union is also affiliated with international teachers’ unions such as the World Teachers’ Body.
