National Agencies
National agencies in Ghana are public funded bodies, commissions, state owned enterprises and authorities, and many are established by an Act of Parliament. They include: Volta River Authority (VRA), whose primary function is to supply electrical energy for industrial, commercial and domestic use; Ghana Free Zones Board (GFZB) whose role is to provide information on investment opportunities in the free zones; the Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the regulatory agency of the Republic of Ghana for air transportation in the country.
