Find Construction and Engineering expertise in India

After Agriculture, Construction is the second largest industry in India. Construction accounts for around 7.65 % of the country’s GDP (2008). This is bound to increase at least in absolute terms due to the key part it plays in infrastructural development, since India is the second fastest growing economy behind China (2011). It will play a key role as the country shifts from a primary sector focus, to a more non-primary direction. The key professional institutes include the Indian Institute of Architects, the National Institute of Construction Management and Research, and the Institution of Engineers. The country prides itself on the number of engineering graduates it produces, of which in one year 350,000 were produced (2008).
