Education Suppliers in India

Textbooks used in Indian schools and colleges are generally produced by the government, which has an estimated 70% stake of the country’s entire textbook market. An interesting point of note is that it also has access to subsidised paper and low overhead costs. However there is pressure from the Federation of Indian Publishers to open up this market to private competitors. Other leading educational publishers include international firms such as Penguin Books India, Oxford University Press India, and Tata McGraw-Hill EducationEducation. Notably the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, a private non-profit organisation is the board administering the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, and the Indian School Certificate, taken at k-10 And k-12 classes respectfully which are recognised in the UK.
