Tourism in India

India provides an extensive range of opportunities for the tourist, with visitors heading there for a variety of reasons including its long history, its wide-ranging geography, distinctive culture, and its colourful people. Notable attractions include: the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world and one of the largest, and most beautiful, tombs in the world – an exempla of Mughal grandeur; the Ganges River, the sacred Hindu waterway, which displays its magnificent in its immense fertility; the beaches of the Adaman and Nicobar Islands, famous for their beauty, and famous for the many ecosystems they possess; the Ajanta Caves, full of beautiful Buddhist art, and surrounded by Mother Nature at her best.
