The Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) is the country’s principal investment promotion agency. It is tasked with promoting the manufacturing and services sectors, through the provision of assistance for potential investors as well as the implementation of their projects. The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation is the principal export promotion agency. There are numerous government-backed bodies involved in the economic development of the country.
