Accommodation in Mauritius

There are many hotels across the island, many of which are located on the coast. Mauritius has many international five star quality hotels, more so than many other holiday destinations in the world. Most hotels are equipped and ready to cater for conferences. The International Conference Centre in Grand Bay and the Freeport Exhibition Centre in Mer Rouge can easily accommodate 600 and 1,000 people respectively. If visiting for purely recreational purposes, there are also other lodging options, such as smaller hotels and self-catering private residences, beach lodges and villas. Most lodging options are located in the main tourist regions and throughout the less centralised areas of the island.
