Latest figures show that Namibia is a net importer of goods and services. Its net imports were 3% of GDP in 2005. Main exports are diamonds, copper, gold, zinc, lead, uranium, cattle, processed fish and karakul skins; while main imports include machinery and equipment, vehicles, fuel, chemicals, metal products, foodstuffs and textiles. The average ad valorem tariff for imported goods is 7.8% (2007).
