Education NGOs and CSOs in Namibia

There are several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and civil society organisations (CSOs) working in Namibia’s education sector. The Namibia National Teachers’ Union is the main representative body for the country’s teachers. SchoolNet, an ICT NGO, works to introduce computer technology and internet access to all schools in Namibia. The Namibian Education Technology Organisation (NETO), another ICT-based NGO, supports schools in their endeavours towards ICT integration. Volunteers from WorldTeach work in Namibia as English, mathematics, science, and computer studies teachers in primary and secondary schools, as well as in adult training facilities.
