Find National NGO expertise in New Zealand

There are many non-governmental and civil society organisations throughout New Zealand dealing with a myriad of issues that affect the population. Prominent examples include the National Council of Women of New Zealand, a network of women’s organisations promoting gender equality through research, education, representation and support; The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, who provide free information and training and advocate for policy and services that support people affected by mental illness; and CareNZ which provides help and treatment for those struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.

For tax and fundraising purposes all charities are advised to register with the Charities Commission, the body responsible for the registration and monitoring of NGOs in New Zealand.
