Transport in Pakistan

Many international airlines operate routes to several cities in Pakistan, and of these cities Karachi and Islamabad are served the best. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is the national airline, but other carriers flying to Pakistan include Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways. Internal flights to tourist destinations such as Chitral are available via PIA and Aero Asia. It is possible to hire cars in major cities, as well as at Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi airports. Taxis are ubiquitous, providing a cheap and efficient service in most of the country. Pakistan Railways operates trains between all the major cities, as well as a service from Quetta to Iran.
