Accommodation in Rwanda

Visitors to Rwanda have various accommodation options to choose from. Hotels are mostly centred in and around Kigali and tend to be expensive, although there are some cheaper newer hotels springing up. Dormitory accommodation is also available in Kigali, in the smaller villages and in the more remote areas; the Ruhengeri and Gisenyi mission station hotels have a particularly good reputation. There are a fair number of guest houses bordering the main towns that also provide cheaper accommodation. A few safaris in East African style tents, as well as rest huts are available for the more adventurous travellers.
