National Agencies

There are a number of national agencies in Saint Lucia working across a variety of areas such as tourism, finance and marketing. National agencies are publicly funded bodies, commissions, state-owned enterprises or authorities whose establishment is supported at a government level. They include, the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS) who work to improve the country’s economy and the quality of life of its people by introducing standards for the improvement of goods and services; the Saint Lucia Tourist Board who act to promote and enhance the country’s tourism industry; and the National Development Corporation who advertise for, and advise on, investment from national and international business ventures.
