Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia is the head of government. The prime minister is appointed by the governor-general and will be the individual who commands the greatest majority of support from the Saint Lucia House of Assembly. Parliamentary elections are held every five years. Ministers are appointed by the governor-general on the advice of the prime minister. The residence and office of the prime minister is located on the Waterfront in Castries.
