Bilateral and Multilateral Co-operation

Samoa is a member the Commonwealth, UN, Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, Asian Development Bank, Group of 77 at the United Nations, IMF, Pacific Islands Forum, South Pacific Regional Trade and Economic Co-operation Agreement, Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), and it an observer of the WTO. Major development partners are Australia, Japan, the European Union, New Zealand, the People’s Republic of China, United Nations agencies, and the World Bank. Australia, Samoa’s largest single donor, has been supporting Samoa recover from the 2009 tsunami through its aid agency AUSAID.
