Standards and Regulation in Seychelles

 

Seychelles Bureau of Standards is the government regulatory agency responsible for the development, maintenance and application of environmental standards in the Seychelles, with a specific focus on environmental protection. The Central Bank of Seychelles is the main regulator and supervisor of financial institutions in Seychelles while the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is an independent statutory body responsible for ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) legislation. 

Other key regulatory authorities are the Seychelles Licensing Authority and Seychelles International Business Authority (SIBA), which is the regulatory body for offshore business. Seychelles is a member of the International Organization for Standardization.
