Bilateral and Multilateral Co-operation
Sierra Leone has strong bilateral relationships with the UK expressed through the Department for International Development (DFID). DFID supports Students Partnership Worldwide and their Youth Reproductive Health Programme (YRHP) and have been tackling youth exclusion and HIV and AIDS in ten districts of Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone is member of the Commonwealth, United Nations (UN) and its specialised and related agencies, African Union (AU), Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), African Development Bank (AFDB) and Mano River Union amongst many others.
