The Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) is the country’s oldest commercial entity. It aims to protect and advocate the business interests of members, to act as a forum of discussion, to promote dialogue with the Singapore government, to build relationships with a variety of trade organisations, and to aid in the development of legislation, amongst other things. Trade associations are based around a very wide variety of industries, and range from the Direct Marketing Association of Singapore (DMAS), to the Singapore Optical Trade Association and the Singapore Motor Cycle Trade Association.
