Education NGOs and CSOs in Solomon Islands

There are several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and civil society organisations (CSOs) functioning within the education sector in the Solomon Islands. The Solomon Islands National Teachers Association (SINTA) is the representative union for teachers throughout the islands. The Global Campaign for Education (CGE) is a civil-society movement comprised of international organisations and local support represented in the Solomon Islands by the Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education (ASPBAE), the Coalition on Education Solomon Islands (COESI), the Literacy Network of Solomon Islands, and several other local civil society organisations (CSOs) dedicated to improving literacy and promoting universal education for all.
