The Board of Investment Sri Lanka is the country’s national investment promotion authority and is committed to continually improving Sri Lanka’s investment environment.
Other key economic development agencies include the Sri Lanka Export Development Board, the premier state organisation dealing with the promotion and development of the country’s exports; and the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon, which aims to promote and develop Sri Lankan industries and make them globally competitive.
