National Agencies

There are a number of national agencies in St Kitts and Nevis, mainly working in the areas of finance and tourism. National agencies are publicly funded bodies which exist to assist ministries, and whose establishment is backed by an Act of Parliament. They include the St Kitts Investment Promotion Agency (SKIPA) who market St. Kitts at an international, regional and local level as an attractive investment location; the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) headquarters who aim to maintain the stability of the EC dollar and the integrity of the banking system, in order to facilitate the balanced growth and development of member states; the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE) who are a uniform regional body of legislation and govern securities market activities; and the St Kitts Tourism agency.
