Find Civil Society expertise in St Vincent and The Grenadines

The primary civil society organisation in the country is the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Human Rights Association (SVGHRA). Originating from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, its constitution promotes the observance of human rights, with surveillance activities permeating the country’s justice system.

There is a lack of national environmental NGOs in the country with most active participation of civil society in environmental matters being left to small community based organisations such as the Layou Environmental Group and the Mayreau Environmental Developmental Organisation.
