The most prominent independent schools in St Vincent and the Grenadines are the Sugar Mill International Academy, which is a non-denominational, co-educational private school providing child centred education for students at the Primary level and there are also five Seventh-day Adventist Church schools in the St Vincent and Grenadines region, including Mountain View Academy, in St Vincent and Bequia SDA Primary and Bequia SDA Secondary, in Bequia. These schools make enrolments on the understanding that the student and parents support the ethos and philosophy of the school and church.
