Research Institutes in St Vincent and The Grenadines

The only research institute of note operating in St Vincent and the Grenadines is the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), which is an autonomous Institute funded by member countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). In addition the St Vincent and the Grenadines Bureau of Standards (SVGBS) is collaborating with the Caribbean Industrial Research Institute (CARIRI) and will be implementing a sub-regional project on improving food safety practices, among all food professionals in St Vincent and the Grenadines. This project involves training of support agencies on the principles of good manufacturing practice and conducting studies with several food establishments.
