In the mid-2000s, at least 30% of the 3,600-km road network was paved; roads link with South Africa and Mozambique. A 300-km railway traverses the country, giving rail as well as road access to Swaziland’s nearest ports – Maputo in Mozambique and Durban in South Africa. A new international airport, at Sikhuphe to the east of Manzini, is due to replace Matsapha International Airport in 2010. Infrastructure managers in the sector include Swaziland Railway.
