Trade unions within Swaziland provide their members with many social and welfare services. The two federations operating in Swaziland are the Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions (SFTU) and the Swaziland Federation of Labour (SFL). A number of trade unions are not members of a national federation; these include the Swaziland National Association of Civil Servants (SNACS); Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT); Swaziland Transport and Allied Workers Union (STAWU); and Swaziland Nurses Association (SNA). The SFTU is affiliated to the International Trade Union Confederation.
