Accommodation in Tonga

Tonga’s 176 islands offer a wide variety of different accommodation solutions for visitors, ranging from excellent beach resorts to camping grounds surrounding some large hotels.  Hotel bills come with a government tax of around 8 per cent and service charge. Traditional boarding houses tend to be popular with tourists, although Tonga also offers guest houses and island resorts. These are built in the style of traditional Tongan houses.
