The UK is a net donor – it has established donor-recipient relationships with many developing countries particularly those of the Commonwealth. The UK is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a member of the G8, Commonwealth, UN’s specialised agencies, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organisation and the European Union.
