Government Ministries

All ministers are appointed by the president in consultation with the prime minister, and must be members of parliament. The president in consultation with the prime minister, is also responsible for the appointment of the deputy ministers, and can appoint any number of deputy ministers required to assist the ministers. The highest ranking civil service employee in each ministry is entitled permanent secretary.
