Youth Development • Programmes and Revenue Projects Co-ordination Provides advice and oversees the major revenue raising mechanism to be established within the National Youth Commission. Also, the division provides advice and assistance to Provincial and Local Level Government based youth groups for facilitating and implementing programmes and business projects. • Education, Training and Youth Rehabilitation Responsible for conducting resource training of trainers’ courses and assists in the development of commercial training programmes in nature for marketing and revenue raising purposes. • Corporate Services (Administration) Responsible for matters relating to Finance and Administration and Human Resource Development. The National Youth Policy 2007-2017 The vision of the policy is to: Create empowering social, economic, and technological conditions enhancing a secure, prosperous and sustainable future for all young people and their full participation within their families and communities. This vision can be achieved through an OPEN approach to youth development: OWNERSHIP Young people to have ownership of the vision. PARTNERSHIP All stakeholders need to work in partnership with each other and young people to achieve this vision. EMPOWERMENT All efforts are aimed at empowering young people to take responsibility for their wellbeing. NETWORK Unity in achieving this vision is possible through sharing or resources.
