Rwanda Governance Board Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) is a national institution established by law in 2011 to serve as a one-stop-centre on governance matters for achieving good service delivery, sustainable development and prosperity for all. The Institution’s main responsibilities include: �� Conducting research related to governance, including homegrown initiatives’ documentation �� Monitoring governance practices in political, public, corporate and civic domains �� Promoting good governance principles in public and private institutions �� Spearheading decentralisation across sectors and co-ordinating local government capacity building �� Conducting public policy advocacy and advising government on governance matters �� Co-ordinating national media policy implementation and media sector development activities �� Registering and granting legal status to national NGOs and religious-based organisations �� Engaging and networking with national and international stakeholders interested in matters of governance in the country. Rwanda Governance Scorecard (RGS) RGB has developed the Rwanda Governance Scorecard (RGS), an annual evidence-based publication to accurately gauge the state of governance in our country, inform policy-makers and other relevant stakeholders and drive policy reforms for greater performance and effectiveness of public and private institutions. RGS is a homegrown innovation which aims to catalyse the achievement of greater results in political, socio-economic and corporate governance, quality service delivery to citizens and national development.
