Q Step 1 Open an e-form ‘M’ with any authorised dealer bank Q Step 2 Dealer bank transmits e-form ‘M’ to NCS Q Step 3 NCS carries out preliminary review leading to approval or rejection of e-form ‘M’ Rejected e-form ‘M’ is sent back to the bank for correction. Accepted e-form ‘M’ is registered in the Customs system (In either case of acceptance or rejection, importer/agent will receive SMS notification) The PAAR System enables NCS to perform Classification and Valuation of goods imported into Nigeria without any partiality. It also allows commercial banks to upload the necessary documents for approval. Q Step 4 Dealer bank uploads all final import documents into the Customs system Q Step 5 NCS generates PAAR within 6 hours of acceptance of final documents (PRE-ARRIVAL ASSESSMENT REPORT) Q Step 6 Importer/agent makes arrangements for shipment of goods into Nigeria Q Step 7 Carrier releases to NCS an advance electronic copy of the Manifest of all cargo on board immediately the vessel/aircraft departs the last port of call Q Step 8 Importer/agent makes Customs declaration at a private or public DTI.
