In Pakistan, only approved publishers may publish textbooks for schools. Both domestic and multinational publishers have been approved to produce textbooks in Pakistan. These publishers include: Oxford University Press Pakistan, National Book Trust, Paramount Publishers, Far East Publications and Gaba Publishers. The Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association represents the interests of the publishing and bookselling trades in Pakistan.
