Lyantonde

Lyantonde, named for its chief town, is a district located in the Central Region of Uganda. The main source of livelihood for people in Lyantonde District is agriculture. Crops are produced for subsistence and economic purposes and include vanilla, coffee, tobacco, cassava, sweet bananas, potatoes, maize and pineapples. Livestock such as cattle, goats, sheep, pigs and poultry are also reared in the district.
