Mpigi
Mpigi, named for its chief town, is a district located in the Central Region of Uganda. The major economic activity in Mpigi District is agriculture, with main crops including sweet potatoes, cassava, maize, bananas and avocados as well as the cash crops coffee and cotton. In nearby Kamwenge District the Mpanga Forest Reserve makes for an excellent tourist location, with its diverse wildlife and birdlife as well as knotted root trees.
