When visiting Malaysia, passports must be valid for six months. Visas are not usually required by a large number of Commonwealth countries and many Western countries for short stays. Malaysia is largely Muslim and therefore Islamic customs should be respected. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from all those travelling from infected areas.
