Namibia imports all of its computer hardware and virtually all of its software, primarily from South Africa. Software is standardised with products such as Microsoft. Many South African computer companies and South African-based global brand names consider Namibia to be part of their distribution channel and have not yet opened offices in the country because of the size of the local market.
