Samoa is generally recognised by independent observers as a country with press freedom. Samoa Observer and Samoa Times are the country’s dailies. Le Samoa (weekly), Savali (fortnightly), and Talamua Magazine (monthly) are in both Samoan and English. The Samoa Broadcasting Corporation provides public radio and TV services, of which it is one of three, there are several privately owned radio stations and TV channels. A state monopoly provides telephone and internet services; internet access is not restricted by the government.
