Find Property and Real Estate expertise in Solomon Islands

About 95% of land in the Solomon Islands is owned by indigenous people through clans or lineage; as a result, these lands may only be leased via the government which acts as the agent. Leases are available for a maximum of 75 years for private commercial use. Registering property is difficult in the country, it scored 168 out of 183 on the World Bank’s Doing Business index for property registration. Alongside this, land ownership is often subject to conflicting claims of ownership.
