Find Oil and Gas expertise in Uganda
Uganda, along with Ghana and Namibia, is one of Africa’s upcoming oil producing nations. Four oil companies are carrying out exploration in the country: Tullow Oil (Ireland), which has made significant discoveries in Kabwoya and Bugungu game reserves; Heritage Oil (Canada), which has made discoveries in Bugoma and Murchison Falls National Park; and the UK-based companies Neptune and Dominion. The Petroleum Exploration and Production Department is the key public contact in the sector. International companies Shell, Gapco, Kobil, Total and Engen, together with many other local concerns, operate downstream services that include the distribution and retail of petroleum products.
