Standards and Regulation in Uganda
Uganda is a member of the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO). The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) is the coordinating body for standards. The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) is the telecom regulator. Other key regulators include Uganda Coffee Development Authority, which acts as a regulator for coffee products, ensuring the country’s coffee meets international standards; the Media Council; the Capital Markets Authority; and The Bank of Uganda, the country’s central bank.
